Journal Article on Alliance Survey Ranks Among Health Affairs’ Most Viewed in 2009

February 6, 2010

Leading health policy journal, Health Affairs, recently recognized “Obesity and the Workplace: Current Programs and Attitudes Among Employers and Employees” as one of their top 20 “most-read” articles for 2009.  The article, co-authored by Alliance Director Christine Ferguson, Jon Gabel and others, includes findings from the Alliance’s Decision Maker survey that suggest employers are both concerned about obesity-related health costs and that there is a need to do more to support employees in preventing and reducing obesity.  The article was featured in the January/February 2009 issue of the journal.  Of note, the number one most viewed article on the list also deals with obesity and the costs associated with the disease.
